The Program Trainers

Shirley Everett, an educator, experienced teacher, and leader in the field of Peace Education created the program Learning P.E.A.C.E. as it exists today. Her extensive experience as a peace educator has brought this concept to schools internationally; in Germany, the Caribbean, and Canada. She is an acclaimed trainer, skilled at teaching educators, parents, and children how to integrate peace education into their own school curriculum and lives. She has worked with Police and R.C.M.P. personnel in the area of Bullying in Schools and the Community. Ms. Everett is co-author of the book Learning Peace - The Practical Guidebook for a Positive School Climate (printed as: Frieden lernen® - Das Praxishandbuch für ein positives Schulklima).

Lisa C. Steindorf is a motivational trainer and teacher specializing in process oriented learning. She has her Master German Diploma and teaching certificate in German from the Goethe Institute Frankfurt as well as her certification as a Suggestopedia Educator from the German Suggestopedia Society. She has extensive experience as a Feldenkrais Method® movement science practitioner. Among her international speaking appearances for peace education she has been a key note presenter at the Didakta Educational Trade Fair in Cologne, Germany and for the Society for Social Courage in Wiesbaden, Germany. With a rich background in the areas of progressive educational methods, language education, conscious parenting systems, and movement sciences, she spearheaded the adaptation, marketing and teaching of Learning P.E.A.C.E. in Germany. She is co-author of the book Learning Peace - The Practical Guidebook for a Positive School Climate (printed as: Frieden lernen® - Das Praxishandbuch für ein positives Schulklima). Mrs. Steindorf is the founder and Director of The Center for Peace Education Europe – Zentrum für Friedenspädagogik.
