Learning P.E.A.C.E. Educator's Training - Program Details

The Learning P.E.A.C.E. Educator's Training Program is presented as further education and entails learning and teaching materials intended for classroom use. The training, moreover, offers staff the opportunity to come together, reflect and work out concrete strategies of dealing with conflict, behavioural problems and aggression in the classroom. Improvement in the overall school environment, staff attitude, teaching and learning efficacy is often an added bonus for other existing school programs. The time and energy invested in the training gifts individual participants and staff with new possibilities of approaching relationships, interactions and conflict that contribute to an effective and more pleasant learning and teaching, hence working (and living), environment.
.
The entire educator's training, comprised of the introduction and the six building blocks of Learning P.E.A.C.E. is intended for schools desiring to positively transform their school environment in a comprehensive manner. When the total Educator's Training has been successfully completed a certification in Learning P.E.A.C.E. will be issued to the school to acknowledge their commitment, accomplishments and the journey travelled. Since each building block is a complete concept unto itself, they can be requested as individual trainings and used effectively on their own. Hence, the school can begin with training in the introduction plus just one building block, adding additional blocks, as the process develops and the appropriate time presents itself for further trainings.
.
Here are two sample models for the complete Learning P.E.A.C.E. Educator's Training Program for schools:

Model I. Two 3-day intensive workshops, approximately 6 months apart. For example:

  1. September 17-19 - Segment One consisting of: On the Road to a Peaceful School, Lessons on Living, Building Self-Esteem, The Art of Discipline
  2. May 12-14 - Segment Two consisting of: Conflict Resolution and Violence Prevention, Dealing with Bullying, Peer Mediation

Or

Model II. Separate full or half day workshops (the introduction session is offered together with the first building block) every 3-4 months. For example:

  1. September 17 - On the Road to a Peaceful School (introduction), September 18 - Lessons on Living
  2. December 5 - Building Self-Esteem
  3. March 22 - Conflict Resolution and Violence Prevention (and so on)

If none of these options meet your needs, please let us know so we can find the most convenient format for your school.

The price of the complete training is dependant on the staff size, the training model chosen and the travel involved for the trainer. Please contact us for an exact calculation for your school.

We also offer Learning P.E.A.C.E. in the Family seminars for parents. Although this is an optional component, it is highly recommended. When the parents together with the children at home and the teachers together with the children at school are all working along the same lines with the same materials for the betterment of the same children, success is sure to follow. Please ask us for more information on this option.
